Tuna Blocks
Served with Wasabi, Ginger, & Baby Greens
Ingredients
(Yield: 2 Servings)
(12) 2 oz tuna loins (cut into a rectangular shape 1-1/2 inch thick)
1/2 cup white sesame seeds
1/2 cup black sesame seeds
3 tsp wasabi powder
7 tsp water
3 tbsp blended oil
pickled ginger
baby greens
soy sauce
Methods:
Encrust tuna with mixed sesame seeds (set aside). Mix water and wasabi powder until smooth consistency. Heat sauce pan to Medium-High heat. Add oil and sear tuna on all four sides of approximately 20 seconds for medium rare. Remove tuna and keep warm.
Using spoon with the wasabi sauce, paint dish. Cut tuna into uniform blocks and arrange on plate. Garnish with baby greens, pickled ginger, sesame seeds, and soy sauce.
